TripAdvisor is more than just hotel rooms though. You can search Airline Flights, book a rental car, or even find things to do in your destination city and pre-buy admission to the sites of the city. Very cool. They even suggest a few things you might like to do once you book your room and give you the opportunity to go ahead and add those activities on.
The final question with on-line booking is what will happen when you arrive at your destination? For us, everything went smooth as silk. We had no problem at all when we arrived at our hotel. Since I have been so happy with TripAdvisor for our flight needs, I began using them to look at other options. The site is very easy to navigate, as there are tabs across the top of the home page which bring me directly to whatever I am currently shopping for under flights, hotels, cars, cruises, or entire vacations.
I booked two hotel rooms from our last trip through TripAdvisor, and had no problems when I arrived at my destination. The prices were equal to or better than any online rate I’d been able to find, even at the hotel’s own site "

I really like the search engine on TripAdvisor because it not only lets you search for a particular airport, but there is also an option to search airports within 70 miles at the same time. This is a very handy feature if you live close to several airports or your destination has several airports in a cluster (south Florida, for example). Other sites make you do these searches individually which is time consuming and can get confusing.
TripAdvisor also lets you prefer non-stop flights. When I travel with my kids, I only consider non-stop flights. At this stage in my life, no matter the extra cost, nothing is worse than dragging small children and luggage across a terminal or missing a connection. "
